June 2010 The Maple Tree was selected as the winning composition in the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers'
Associations' Call for Compositions for a Vocal Solo: Grades 2 - 3.
November 2008 Recipient of the Victoria Conservatory of Music Theory & Composition Department Award of
Merit.
October 2008 Commission to write a piano solo for local BCRMTA Canada Music Week 2009.
June 2008 ARCT Composition & Theory diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music completed! Graduating
projects passed with distinction.
July 2004 The piano pieces, Soaring Seagulls and The Ice Dancers, were awarded second place in the 13th annual
Jean Coulthard Composing Competition.
